Meeting Room Technology Guide

3 ways to connect

  • Device Mode
    • Use the built-in computer to display presentations, documents, websites, videos, etc.
    • Wireless keyboard and mouse are provided
    • Use Zoom, Teams, or Webex for videoconferencing in Lomond, Ludlow, Fernway, Boulevard (and Fernway and Boulevard combined)
  • Wirelessly share / cast / project
    • Windows PC and Mac iOS compatible devices may wirelessly connect to share, cast, or project device screens.
  • HDMI
    • An HDMI cable is provided for a direct wired connection to the meeting room screens (with the exception Lomond and Ludlow – HDMI cables are not available in those spaces)

If the device cannot connect to the meeting room software, laptops are available for checkout from the Laptop Lending Kiosk at Main Library.  (Laptop Lending is available to Adults with a library card in good standing)

Tips and Troubleshooting

Android devices cannot connect wirelessly to the meeting room equipment

MacBooks often require an adapter to be used with the HDMI cord

Customers must supply their own adapters

Chromebooks cannot connect wirelessly to the meeting room equipment

  • Customers may use the provided HDMI cord to connect if the laptop has an HDMI port
  • Check out a laptop from the Laptop Lending Kiosk

An HDMI connection is unavailable in Lomond and Ludlow Conference Rooms

If a device does not connect:

  • Make sure the TV is turned on (power button is located on the back of the the tv screen on the right)
  • Unplug and then plug-in the cart from the electrical outlet

If the device still won’t connect:

  • Use Device Mode to access videoconferencing
  • Videoconferencing is currently only available in the Lomond and Ludlow Conference Rooms, Fernway, and the combined Boulevard/Fernway spaces (Bernway alone does not have the capabilities at this time)
  • Zoom, Webex, and Teams are installed on the built-in computer

Ensure all devices are not muted

Confirm the Audio Source (in the volume controls) is correct

The YouTube App will not stream while wireless connected

Accessing YouTube via the device’s browser will work properly
