Art Gallery Application to Exhibit

Shaker Heights Public Library sponsors six art exhibits each year, including the Annual Barbara Luton Art Show. Exhibits are generally 6 to 8 weeks eight weeks in length. Library personnel reviews and selects artists for exhibition. Applicants will be contacted within a month regarding the status of their application. Artists must also agree to donate 15% of the sale of their artwork to the Library Endowment Fund.

  • Please attach no more than 4 high-resolution photos-one or two of which will be used to promote the exhibit. Work depicted should represent work intended for exhibition. If the work delivered for installation is not of the same quality as the photographed work submitted, the Shaker Heights Public Library may decide not to grant the exhibition.
  • While all artists are encourage to apply, artists living in the Shaker Heights City School District will be given first consideration for exhibition.
  • WAIVER/RELEASE

  • The undersigned agrees to abide by all stated rules and conditions of exhibiting. It is understood that the artist is responsible for any risk of loss or damage. By applying for exhibition, the artist releases and agrees to hold harmless the Shaker Heights Public Library and its trustees.
