Early Literacy Outreach

Early childhood education centers located within the Shaker Heights City School District boundaries are eligible for the library’s Early Literacy Outreach program. Our Early Literacy Specialist visits preschool and daycare classrooms regularly to provide story times for Shaker’s youngest learners.

Classrooms receiving outreach visits are also eligible to receive books on a rotating basis. Books are provided from the library’s dedicated Early Literacy Outreach Collection, funded by an LSTA grant from the State Library of Ohio .
