Shaker Library seeks candidates for appointment to the Shaker Heights Public Library Board of Trustees. The appointment is for a seven-year term of office beginning April 1, 2025 through March 31, 2032. The seven-member Board of Trustees, appointed by the Board of Education, is the governing body for the library and establishes policy and approves expenditures. The Board usually meets at 6:30 pm the third Monday of the month at Main Library.

    A "qualified elector" is defined in ORC 3503.01 as "Every citizen of the United States who is of the age of eighteen years or over and who has been a resident of the state thirty days immediately preceding the election at which the citizen offers to vote, is a resident of the county and precinct in which the citizen offers to vote, and has been registered to vote for thirty days, has the qualifications of an elector and may vote at all elections in the precinct in which the citizen resides.?
