In this class you will learn how to use Google’s powerful search engine to find information, images, videos, and news. We will also take a look at alternative search engines and why you might want to use them. You will also learn to evaluate the trustworthiness of your search results. At the end of the class, participants should be able to:
- Run a basic web search with Google
- Search for things other than web pages
- Narrow search results
- Run an advanced search
- Decide which search engine to use
- Evaluate a web page’s trustworthiness
