  • Careers

    A place for job seekers in transition and career change located in the Community Entrepreneurial Office (CEO) on the second floor of the Main Library. The Career Transition Center is open from 10 AM – 4 PM Monday -Thursday.

  • Children & Families

    The Children’s Department offers programs for infants through school-age children, including after-school specials, storytimes, and the summer reading program. The library also offers events for families. Be sure to register for these and many more fun and educational programs!

  • Computer Classes

    The library offers a variety of free computer classes for the public. View or print the Class Descriptions

    Registration is required and begins four weeks before the class; please call the Main Library Computer Center at 216-991-2030 x2385. If you reach the library’s automated attendant choose Option 8 to reach the Computer Center.

  • Friends of the Library

    Friends of the Shaker Library generally meets at 7 p.m. the fourth Monday of each month in Community Room G on the second floor of the Main Library. Members of the Friends are invited to attend all meetings and to participate in all events.

    Shaker Library offers exciting Summer Reading programs especially created for kids, teens, and adults to have fun, win prizes, and read, read, read! It’s a great way to encourage your child’s reading over the summer to help keep those school year skills sharp.
