Public Computers
Computers with Internet access are available for adults and children at the Main Library and the Bertram Woods Branch. Research and homework have priority over casual use. All computers have time limits and there is a nominal charge for printing. All computer users must comply with the Library’s Internet Access Policy or risk losing their privileges.
Guidelines for Adult Computer Use
Adults have access to many Internet computers at both library locations. For those with an interest in word processing and other software, workstations are available for longer periods in the
Computer Center on the second floor of the Main Library.
Children’s Room Computers
IBM-compatible computers provide educational and recreational software, as well as interactive picturebooks. Headphones are available at the Children’s Services desks.
Guidelines for Children’s Computer Use
Computers in the Children’s areas of the library are designated for children 12 years and younger only. (Children under 8 years of age must work with an adult.) Computers for older youth up to 16 years of age are available in the Main Library Teen Center.
